The water treatment industry recognizes the negative impacts of rapid changes in source water quality. Whether it be harmful algal blooms, low dissolved oxygen, or another environmental change, knowing the source water’s characteristics before the water enters the plant is needed to help inform the treatment process.
To meet this need, water treatment plants are investing in environmental sensors to provide an early indication of source water quality. Freeboard Technology has worked with numerous water treatment plants to develop, deploy, and maintain a sensor network that supports operators.
